Year End Review 2015 - Q/A

Yes, I have already done a similar post yesterday. But I saw this post and wanted to go along with it.

What did you do in 2015 that you’d never done before? Oh Gosh... Hmmm.. Oh I went to Gibbs Gardens with Nanny, my Cousins and My Aunt. I have never been before and I figured getting to spend time with my family that I do not see very often was great. It was beautiful though.

Did you keep your new years’ resolutions? Does anybody really keep their New Years Resolutions? I don't even think I made any last year. Because I am so bad at that. I like to make Goals.

Will you make more for next year? Probably not. I will set goals for myself in 2016. But not resolutions.

Did anyone close to you give birth? What a weird question... BUT... one of my old childhood friends who I just caught back up with recently gave birth to her Daughter. Oh and one of my Work Friends gave birth to her daughter.

Did anyone close to you die? No, thankfully but today my Granddaddy passed away 6 years ago.

What countries did you visit? Ummm.. None.. At All... We can't afford that... #adultproblems. I do want to go somewhere soon though.. Probably not in 2016 either.

What would you like to have in 2016 that you lacked in 2015? I would like to have more stability, I would like to do better at saving money, I want to keep my blog a priority, actually lose weight. It is getting to that point where I need to take care of myself health-wise. I am almost 30 people.

What date from 2016 will remain etched upon your memory? I am going to say when we bought my New 2016 Ford Escape and we got rid of the Volkswagen Passat.. Ya'll please do not ever buy a VW.. I have had the worst luck with those cars. I had 2. Both were money pits.

What was your biggest achievement of the year? Honestly, and  this is going to sound silly.  But Matt and I actually took time and went to visit my Dad, Step-Mom, Brothers and Sister in October. We have been planning to go to Ohio for quite some time. In the 5 years Matt and I have been together he had never been to Ohio. That was fun.

What was your biggest failure? I wouldn't say Failure. But something I could have done better, is blog consistently. Matt had set up my new domain and I did not blog for a minute. So I am going to be better at that.

Did you suffer illness or injury? No, I did not actually thankfully.

What was the best thing you bought? My Ford Escape it was the biggest purchase I made this year.

Whose behavior merited celebration?  Matt most definitely. He started a new job and loves it. Me, I was so negative at times this year, because of my current job it is just not a good one and it really took a beating on me.

Where did most of your money go? Ugh... Rent...Bills...Few Splurges..Some short trips to Nashville...  You know the typical adult things.

What did you get really, really, really excited about? Um... I think I would have to say when we bought the car, few other things.. Short Trips with my Best Friend to Nashville, going to the Braves game just to see Sam Hunt play after.

Are You:

Happier or Sadder: Happier in a way.

Thinner or Fatter: Fatter...Gross..

Richer or Poorer: Uhhh.. about the same.. average..

What do you wish you’d done more of? Umm... I think... Going out more with friends.. or Traveling.. even it was for a weekend.

What do you wish you’d done less of? Worrying about Money. It always works out.. But I think money will always be a worry thing...

How did you spend Christmas? We actually Spent Christmas Eve with Matt's Parents and we spent Christmas Day with my Parents. It was good.

Did you fall in love in 2015? 1 1/2 of Marriage and I fall more in love with my Husband every day. I am very lucky to have him in my life.

How many one-night stands? Hah... Seriously... Do people still do that crap?! NONE! Thank you very much!

Who were your best friends? Stephanie for 17 years.

What thing did you do that was meaningful to others? Our Church Group Adopted a Family this Christmas. That was awesome.

What were your favorite TV programs? Oh gosh.. My TV is my favorite thing.. I binge watch a lot. But I would say.. I have been loving the ID Channel, Gotham, Jessica Jones, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, The Voice, Heartland, gosh I could go on and on.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? No. Hate is a strong word ya'll.. I don't really hate anyone.

What was the best book you read in 2015? I have not read very many books this year... Yea that is terrible I know. Because I love reading. But I would have to say The Girl on the Train.

What was your greatest musical discovery? Honestly, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, Chase Rice, Pentatonix, Justin Bieber (yep I am a Belieber... Judge me...). I am obsessed with all of these.

What did you want and get? I wanted a Tory Burch bag, and yes I got it for my Birthday. My mama took me shopping. I actually got quite a few things that I wanted.

What did you want but did NOT get? Apple Watch or a New Laptop. That's okay though. Matt fixed my Laptop for now.. Oh and my other Wedding band.. Maybe I can talk my husband into going to get the wedding band.

What were your favorite films this year? The Longest Ride, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Man of. U.N.C.L.E. We saw quite a few good movies this year.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? My mama took me to brunch, took me shopping, got my nails and toes done, and we went to dinner. I turned 29.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Not hating my job. I wish it would have gone smoother.

What kept you sane? Matt. God. Friends. Faith.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Hmmm... that is a tough one.. Sam Hunt and Ruby Rose.

What political issue stirred you the most? Lots. I don't get into that stuff. I am not a huge fan of Politics.

Who do you miss? My Dad. He lives in Ohio and I do not see him that much. So when I do get to see him it is a lot of fun.

Who are the best new people you met this year? Did I meet anybody new this year? I don't think I did.. Hmm.. Lame..

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2015? Live Life to the Fullest and do not ever give up, because it will always work out. For me.. Give it to God. He knows what to do.

Quote that sums up your year:

20 Questions..About.. Me!

Yes, I am all about the whole 20 questions game. I figured I could do an about me post since I have not done one of those in a while. I found this post from Sept Farm. Thank You!

1. FAVORITE FOOD? Hmmm this is a difficult one. I really enjoy comfort food. Fried Chicken, Mashed Potato's and some sort of vegetables, like green beans or broccoli. Yum.

2. FLIP FLOPS or HIGH HEELS? I think I could do either. I love me some high heels though. Although, my ankle's suck, thanks to being a cheer leader. But I will always go for a pair of high heels. Flip flops are also very comfortable though.

3. FAVORITE PLACES TO SHOP...FOR ME! Oh man.. I am all about being cheap, but also good quality as well. But I would have to say Ann Taylor Loft. They have some really cute clothes for both casual wear and business casual. I also love to find deals at TJ Maxx you can never go wrong.

4. STANDARD COFFEE ORDER? Are we talking Starbucks... because if so I am the Venti Blonde Roast with 3 Splenda and Cream. Of course in the fall I do like the PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) I can't do the sweet coffee drinks anymore. I am a regular coffee gal.

5. ROAD TRIP MUST HAVE SNACK? Ohhh that is a good question. I am going to have to say any type of chocolate or the white cheddar popcorn.

6. DIY OR HIRE IT OUT? I can do either/or. I don't have patience for DIY sometimes. But I do not have the money to hire anybody either.

7. TOP 5 TV SHOWS: Orange is the New Black, Dexter, Law and Order SVU, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Extreme Makeover -Weight Loss Edition.

8. FAVORITE BOOK? Hmmm that is a hard question.. I read a lot.. But I would have to say The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. I love any of his books though.

9. FAVORITE FORM ON EXERCISE? Orange Theory Fitness and Zumba.

10. HOW TALL ARE YOU? 5'3" or 5'4" yea I am not too sure where I stand. Hah.

11. DO YOU TRY SOMETHING NEW AT RESTAURANTS OR STICK TO YOUR FAVORITES? I tend to try new things. Depending on where we are.

12. ONE MAKEUP ITEM YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT? My mascara. On days like today when I am not doing anything or off from work I will just put mascara on.

13. WHAT'S ON YOUR NIGHTSTAND? my book, my iPad, lip stuff, and ear plugs. Oh and whole bunch of hair ties oh and a lamp. I feel like that is a lot to have on a nightstand.

14. ONE THING MOTHERHOOD HAS TAUGHT YOU? I cannot answer that question because I am not a mother.

15. MUSIC THAT REMINDS YOU OF HIGH SCHOOL? oh goodness that was sooo long ago!! I don't even know anymore. But if I had to choose. I would say Kenny Chesney's song Summertime it reminds me of high school because my best friend and I used to blast this song while driving in our Jeeps drinking our Passion Tea Lemonade from Starbucks. Good Times.

17. TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOU WE MIGHT NOT KNOW.. I messaged my husband first on Plenty of Fish. I kill flowers and plants very easily I don't know how to water them properly, I am obsessed with Gone With the Wind and Marilyn Monroe.

18. WEBSITES YOU READ // BROWSE (besides blogs) Buzzfeed, Tumblr, ET

19. MORNING PERSON OR NIGHT OWL? I am a morning person. Ya'll I was up at 6:45 this morning. I would rather get up really early and not waste my day away by sleeping in. And I just can't sleep in anymore. There is nothing like getting up  early making coffee and sitting on the couch.

20. WHAT'S YOUR BEST FEATURE? I almost always never know what to say to these types of questions. But if I have to say something.. It would be my smile and my teeth. Weird I know.

Love Ya'll for Reading!
