Verses on Prayer

Happy Wednesday! I am a woman of God and believe in him wholeheartedly. With every thing going in the world with the attacks on Paris, the Syrian Refugee stuff, I wanted to do a post on Prayer. Here are 10 Verses on Prayer.

Do not be anxious about everything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. - Philippians 4:6

This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to his will, he will hear us. - 1 John 5:14

The Lord is near to all who call oh him, to all who call on him in truth. - Psalm 145:18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

And when you pray, do not be like hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and at the street corners, they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. - Matthew 6:5-8

But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. - Luke 6:27-28

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. - Romans 8:26

For I know that through your prayers and God's provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. - Philippians 1:19

By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life. - Psalm 42:8
